SID Guangzhou Student Chapter 2025 Activities Plan

SID (Society for Information Display) is an international professional academic organization in the field of display technology. It has established student chapters in various regions around the world. These chapters aim to promote comprehensive development in the field of information display, drive technological and industrial innovation, and foster academic exchanges. As an important part of SID, the Guangzhou Student Chapter is committed to expanding the understanding of display technology among universities and enterprises in the Guangzhou area and its surroundings. It also aims to promote academic research and career development for students in this field. The following is an overview of the main activities of the Guangzhou Student Chapter in 2025

Activity 1: SID Guangzhou Student Chapter Election and Recruitment Event

4、Target AudienceMembers of SID Guangzhou Student Chapter, Graduate students from Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology

5、Content: To further strengthen the organizational progress of SID China and add new blood, the Guangzhou Student Chapter of SID China will hold an election and recruitment event for a new council. In accordance with the SID bylaws, the event will follow the principles of fairness and transparency to elect a new chapter president, vice president, secretary-general, and treasurer. The event will also introduce the International Society for Information Display and its student chapters to faculty and students of the two universities to attract more outstanding talents.

Activity 2: 12th Postgraduate Workshop on Display Research (PGWS)

4、Target AudienceGraduate students from the Cross - Strait and Hong Kong - Macao regions

5、Content: The 12th PGWS will be hosted by SID China and co-organized by Sun Yat-sen University and the SID Guangzhou Student Chapter. It is expected to receive over 40 submissions, with the Guangzhou Student Chapter organizing at least six submissions and expecting more than 20 participants.
Activity 3: ICDT (International Conference on Display Technology) Participation Experience Sharing
